Back from the dead
HI, I BET YOU THOUGHT THIS BLOG WAS DEAD
Especially just when you know there are finally enough of them out there.
Honestly to think that my trusty, tried and true Blogger account would be retired before I graduated the prestigious Ohio Northern University is backasswards in every sense of the word. The only way this blog would die before I graduated is if one of three things happened:
- I dropped out of the public relations major & all of Aggie's subsequent blogging classes.
- I dropped entirely out of Ohio Northern and regarded my life as effectively over and effectively a failure.
- I dropped dead and my blog then becomes a testament to my life (what a memorial that I will certainly want to define my two decades of life!).
Moving on, I know no one asked but I will inform the many readers patiently waiting for the posts to start rolling about what I've done over the summer.
I worked a full time job for the Trumbull County Engineer as labor for their summer college employment program. Our highway road department receives funds from the state for implementing summer work to college students home for the summer (of course at a very reduced wage and a lack of benefits whatsoever). So every morning at 5:45 a.m. I woke up and went to work. Some days I just flagged whereas other days I was given a shovel and had to shovel and throw gravel off the back of a dump truck onto the road. It was terrible but at the same time—$9.50 at forty hours a week is an alright paycheck that I was willing to subject myself to in the name of capitalism.

Other than that I attended the music festivals Badfish, Pyro Music & Arts Festival, Funk n' Flow, Slightly Stoopid at the Quarry and Lazy Daisy throughout May, June, July and August. This upcoming Labor Day will be my absolutely favorite festival Summerdance, where the electronic jam band Lotus plays six different sets over three nights. My brain will surely be blasted.
It sounds like you have a lot of early mornings this summer! I'm glad you still had fun along the way.
