Veteran's Day at ONU

Hey all you loyal blog reader(s), I hope that we all had a nice Veterans Day yesterday observed with silence, ceremonies and maybe even a Tweet. Ohio Northern, however, does something a little bit more for ONU and for the surrounding community of Ada. Some would say they have a moral obligation as such an entity but I honestly believe Ohio Northern decides to do this because they genuinely care. Maybe it is a bit of both.

All of that being said, Ohio Northern held their annual wreath-laying ceremony this past Monday at 11 a.m. at the Henry Solomon Lehr statue. This year's ceremony seemed to have a very respectful attendance, bringing together Ohio Northern and the small village of Ada once again.

Although this video is not from 2018 but rather 2016, I still think it shows the same amount of respect for all active-duty service men and women and veterans, and especially, their families for all they do on our behalf.

Ohio Northern also tweeted out a more timely Tweet, showing both Veterans and students alike.

  1. Awesome use of the resources ONU has provided for this blog. As a big supporter of our US Armed Forces and love for this great country, Veterans day is big for me. I always try to go out of my way to thank anyone that has served in our military because they give up so much so that we may have what we have today. GOD BLESS AMERICA!!!
