New Phone Who Dis
Did you know the closest places to Ohio Northern to get your iPhone fixed are in Dublin, Ohio, Toledo and Columbus? I unfortunately do and is what I spent my Sunday doing.
Starting off with the issue my phone originally had occurred a few weeks ago, maybe during the first week of classes? I'm not entirely sure, but I got an error notification that read "Face ID Has Been Disabled" followed by "A problem was detected with the TrueDepth camera. Face ID has been disabled." The only solution? Contact Apple Support. After dutifully calling and talking to someone that asked if I had restarted the phone or if my "case was a little tight" as a response to "my buttons don't work, I have no idea what's wrong but the volume button sometimes constantly turns down." After all that, with absolutely nothing being resolved, I proceeded to wait probably around a month to do anything, which is entirely my fault, no blame on Apple there. Once finally, this time texting, contacting Apple Support again, I was told I'd have to take my phone into the store and the above locations were listed out for me. Choosing the actual Apple Store made me feel high class and better than just Best Buy (although I know damn well Best Buy is probably a lot more fitting).
Fast forward to driving to Columbus, which is always a blast. After making it through six lanes of highway, I arrive only to be told that my entire rear camera would have to be replaced and that I get to wait around until they close as this repair is completed. Woo-hoo. Although what's great is that it's all covered under the phone's warranty and I only get to pay the amount used in gasoline.
Fast forward again to closing time and the information I receive is that, in fact, I am "actually just going to get another phone." What isn't elaborated is that I have waited hours for absolutely nothing at all. I emphasize this because I complain about literally everything. Anyhow long story short is that I literally dealt with a broken phone for a month when I could've made a three hour round trip and gotten an ENTIRELY NEW PHONE.

The only thing wrong with Apple products is finding a place to fix them obviously. Taking them to an Apple Store is the best option; however, many of the stores are in big cities and a far drive. I do know a few places online will fix your phone, but you have to mail it out and how knows how long it would take to get it back. But hopefully the new phone treats you well.
